We’ve graduated three of our most popular labs. Superstars allow you to use different stars to mark and organize messages, Nested Labels allow you to organize labels hierarchically, and Advanced IMAP controls allow users who access their mail via an IMAP client to only sync selected labels or to limit folder size. We’ve also retired the Google Search box lab, as users can now search by clicking ‘Search the Web’ next to the search bar at the top of the Gmail page.

How to access what's new:
- To set up Superstars, go to your Gmail settings page and scroll down to the ‘Stars’ section of the ‘General’ tab. Rotate through the options you’ve set up while starring a message by clicking on the star.
- To set up Nested Labels, click on the button next to an existing label in your left hand panel and scroll down to ‘Add sublabel.’
- To edit Advanced IMAP Controls, go to your Gmail settings page and click to the ‘Forwarding and POP/IMAP’ tab.
